Wahid ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have. By using the Wahid app, you consent to the practices described in this policy. Last updated: April 2026.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Personal Information: Full name, email address, date of birth, gender, grade level (1–12), academic track (Scientific or Literature), mobile number (optional), school name (optional), and profile photo (optional).
• Learning Progress: Chapter access history and reading progress percentages.
• Exam Data: Your exam answers, scores, and AI-generated feedback.
• AI Conversations: Full message history with the AI tutor Zaid.
• Flashcard Activity: Cards created, study sessions, and generation history.
• Study Schedules: Scheduled lessons.
• Achievements: Learning streaks, points, and earned badges.
• Saved Items: Bookmarked questions and pages.
• App Preferences: Language setting, theme (light/dark), and notification preferences.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version, and device identifiers.
• Push Notification Tokens: Used to deliver study reminders and notifications.
• Crash & Error Logs: Anonymised stack traces and error reports for stability monitoring.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Wahid educational service.
• Personalise your learning experience based on your grade, track, and progress.
• Process and display AI-generated exam grades and feedback.
• Generate flashcards from content you upload.
• Send study reminders, push notifications, and service communications (with your consent).
• Communicate with you about your account, subscription, and service updates.
• Improve the app and train our AI models using anonymised, non-personal data only. Personal data (name, email, etc.) is never used for AI training.
• Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms & Conditions.
• Monitor AI conversations for safety, abuse prevention, and quality improvement.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. AI Processing & Automated Decisions

Wahid uses automated AI systems for several core features:

• Your messages to the AI tutor Zaid are processed by our AI systems to generate responses.
• Exam answers are graded by automated AI systems — these grades are for practice and self-assessment only and carry no official academic standing.
• PDF content uploaded for flashcard generation is processed by AI and retained for up to 12 months.
• AI grading constitutes automated decision-making that affects your displayed scores. These are practice scores only.
• We use anonymised, non-personal behavioural data to improve and train our AI models. Personal data such as your name, email, and identity are never used for AI training.
• Wahid reserves the right to review AI conversations for safety, abuse prevention, and quality improvement.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, with encryption in transit and at rest. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data as follows:

• AI conversation history: retained for up to 24 months after account deletion.
• Exam history and scores: retained for up to 24 months after account deletion.
• PDF content uploaded for flashcard generation: retained for 12 months, then permanently deleted.
• Inactive accounts (no login for 2 or more years): all associated data is permanently deleted.
• On account deletion: personal data is deleted within a reasonable timeframe, subject to the retention periods above.

7. Third-Party Sub-Processors

We work with the following third-party service providers who may process your data:

• Supabase — database hosting, user authentication, and file storage.
• Sentry — crash reporting and error monitoring. May receive device info, OS version, app version, and anonymised stack traces.
• Google — authentication provider if you use Google Sign-In.
• Facebook — authentication provider if you use Facebook Login.
• Apple — authentication provider if you use Apple Sign-In.
• AI Processing Service — powers the AI tutor, exam grading, flashcard generation, and smart search features.
• Data processed by these providers may be stored on servers outside Iraq or the GCC region. Each provider operates under their own privacy policy and data protection standards.

8. Subscription Cards & Third Parties

Wahid subscription cards are sold through authorised third-party stores. These stores operate independently and do not collect or share your personal data with Wahid. All transactions are anonymous — Wahid receives only the redemption code. Wahid does not receive or store any payment card information.

9. Push Notifications & Communications

We may send you push notifications, SMS messages, and email communications including study reminders, product updates, and promotional content. You can opt out of notifications at any time through the Settings screen in the app or through your device's notification settings. Opting out of marketing communications does not affect service-critical messages such as account and security alerts.

10. Minors

Wahid is strictly for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. Personal data of users under the age of 18 is never used for AI model training. If you believe that a child under 13 has created an account on Wahid, please contact us immediately at support@sa3fa.com and we will promptly delete the account and all associated data.

11. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: You may request to review the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: You may update or correct your data at any time through the app's profile settings.
• Deletion: You may delete your account and associated data through the Settings screen.
• Opt-out: You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
• Data portability: You may request a copy of your personal data.

12. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting within the app. Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
